1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to switchkbd.com, product purchases, custom-build and customer-supplied service requests, customer-review submissions, build-update subscriptions, customer support, RGB Studio submissions, and AI Help. “Switch Customs,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Switch Customs, a Pennsylvania sole proprietorship based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA.

2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Orders and payments: name, email, billing and shipping addresses, products, price, tax, shipping method, payment status, and transaction identifiers. Stripe processes payment-card details; Switch Customs does not receive your full card number.
- Custom-build and service requests: name, email, optional social-media handle, request type, how parts will be supplied, budget, layout, connectivity, RGB preferences, color/theme, switch feel, sound goals, selected modifications, owned or requested parts and product links, RGB Studio plan, and notes you choose to submit.
- Customer reviews: display name, order email, selected product, rating, review title, review text, publication consent, verification status, and related moderation records. The order email is used privately for verification and is not displayed with a published review.
- Email updates: email address, consent status, subscription activity, and unsubscribe status.
- Customer support: messages, order details, photos, video, return or warranty information, and any other content you send.
- AI Help: the messages you type into the AI chat and the recent chat messages needed to maintain that conversation.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security providers may automatically process basic technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time, referring page, diagnostic logs, and security or rate-limit information. The current site does not use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising trackers.
Some tools may store necessary settings in your browser, such as an RGB Studio draft or interface state. Payment pages and other third-party services may use their own necessary cookies or similar technologies under their policies.
3. How we use information
- Process payments, confirm orders, build or modify products, ship orders, and provide tracking.
- Review custom-build or customer-supplied service requests, verify compatibility and ownership-related instructions, prepare quotes, obtain approvals, and communicate about parts, production, service, and return shipping.
- Provide customer support and handle returns, refunds, damaged items, and warranty claims.
- Verify, moderate, and publish customer reviews when the reviewer has given permission.
- Send build updates and promotional emails when you expressly subscribe; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Generate an AI Help response when you choose to use the chat.
- Secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the website; prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity.
- Keep business, accounting, tax, transaction, consent, dispute, and legal records.
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements.
5. AI Help privacy
Only use AI Help if you want your chat message processed by OpenAI. The text you enter, along with recent messages in that chat, is sent through the OpenAI API so the assistant can generate a reply.
- Switch Customs has disabled model-training data sharing for its API organization.
- Each request is sent with OpenAI response storage turned off (
store: false). - OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the customer opts in. Switch Customs has not opted in.
- OpenAI may retain prompts and responses in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days by default, unless longer retention is legally required or permitted.
- Your Stripe payment data, quote-request form, order record, and email subscription are not sent to OpenAI through AI Help.
Do not enter passwords, payment-card information, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal information into AI Help. AI responses may be inaccurate; contact us for final order, price, inventory, compatibility, or policy confirmation.
6. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including order fulfillment, customer service, warranty and dispute handling, fraud prevention, consent records, accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. Marketing-subscription information is kept until you unsubscribe or we no longer need it, subject to retaining a limited suppression record so we can honor the unsubscribe request.
Information processed by a service provider may also be retained under that provider’s policy and our settings. OpenAI abuse-monitoring retention is described above.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for a small online business, including reputable payment and hosting providers and limited access. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
- Marketing: Use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email or contact us. Transactional messages about an order may still be sent.
- Access, correction, or deletion: You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we control. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records required for transactions, tax, security, disputes, or law.
- Browser storage: You can clear local browser data through your browser settings; doing so may remove saved RGB Studio drafts or preferences.
- AI Help: You can avoid OpenAI processing by not using AI Help and contacting us by email instead.
- Reviews: You may ask us not to publish a submitted review or to remove a published review associated with you. We may retain a limited private record when reasonably needed for fraud prevention, disputes, legal compliance, or to document the request.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right granted by applicable law.
8. Children, U.S. operations, and policy changes
The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Switch Customs operates in the United States. If you access the site from elsewhere, information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations used by our service providers.
We may update this policy as the site and services change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated when required by law.
